Review from CityBeat Cincinnati

"If Prog is the new Grunge, this Brooklyn trio could be the new Soundgarden. With an eclectic approach to song writing, the band's songs rarely approach the expected, with more twists and turns than Lost. Don't let the Prog tag scare you away - despite avowed influences like Mahavishnu Orchestra and Sigur Ros, CHILDE's music isn't overly serious or pretentious (in fact, it's often playful and hooky)." 9/24/09

Union Hall Last Sunday

The show over at Union Hall was great last Sunday with excellent sets by Dawes and The Seedy Seeds. We shook off the cobwebs and played a bunch of new stuff off the upcoming album including a crazy "Run From The Junkie" complete with trumpet and backup vocals from Rachel and Ben from Hawk & Dove. We are taking a little breather for August as we finish up the album and gear up for a busy September. Thanks everyone for coming out!

Last night was another marathon of magic and music. Doran engineered as HAWK & DOVE (www.hawkanddovenyc.com) recorded five amazing gems, all live, in the living room. Elijah killed it with his vocals and everyone played magnificently. It's like one happy, incestual, music family.

At 2:30 AM we then commenced to get all the Dovers to sing some mass background vocals for the CHILDE record. We had Steph and Rachel, Ben, John, Dave, and Doran all screaming into one mic, trying to slay the dragon of rock. CHILDE 1 DRAGON 0 ------->>> see you all Sunday night at Union Hall 8pm... :)
